• Celebrating 30 Years of Precision and Excellence

For 30 years, Teledyne API has been a global market leader in the design and manufacture of precision instruments used for air quality monitoring. Founded in 1988 in San Diego, California, as Advanced Pollution Instrumentation, the company later merged with Teledyne Technologies Incorporated to become Teledyne API (“TAPI").

Over the years, we have developed and expanded our range of instruments, the applications they serve, and our customer base. Our instruments are used worldwide in ambient air quality monitoring systems (AQMS), continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS) and industrial process gas monitoring applications. We have continued to introduce new products and technologies that simultaneously improve data quality and reduce maintenance, raising the bar for instrumentation in the industries we serve. Our AQMS and CEMS analyzers comply with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), European Union (EU), and many other international regulatory agency approvals for the measurement of criteria pollutants.

This success has enabled our dedicated team to grow to more than 200 people. TAPI designs and assembles all instruments in the USA, with more than 80% of them exported to countries all around the world.

While we have experienced significant growth, there are some things that haven't changed. Since 1988, TAPI has combined state-of-the-art technology, proven measuring principles, stringent quality assurance systems and world-class after-sales support to deliver the best products and customer satisfaction in the business. We value our longstanding partnerships with many distributors and customers.

We celebrate this 30-year milestone by honoring our history of leading innovation and looking forward to continued success in the future.
